Here at Smiles Norton, we have three wonderful rooms along with our breakfast and after-school club and also our holiday club.
We will work closely with you to understand your child's needs, including any special dietary requirements, allergies and any other information that will help us to make your child’s time at nursery as comfortable as possible. We will always update at the end of each day when you come to pick your child up, we also have an App called famly https://famly.co you can keep up-to-date with all the amazing things your children have been up to, we also use this App to send out letters, invites and invoices.
Our Managers and Room Leaders will be more than happy to chat with you; why not pop in or give them a call?
Our baby room is design to provide a comfortable and safe environment for your baby to grow and develop. All of the equipment and resources have been specially chosen to help your child’s stages of development. The main purpose is for them to play and have fun, but learning experiences are introduced subtlety to allow your child to flourish during their vital years of discovery.
When children begin their journey in the Sunbeams Room, we are able to introduce more educational-based activities, but with the emphasis still being very much about having fun. They have plenty of opportunities to learn through play (which quite often entails getting messy, having lots fun and making friends) and to become more independent through a wide range of imaginative play, themed activities and trips out.
It is a lovely, warm, and friendly environment which will help each child reach their full potential.
A typical week in the Rainbows Room includes a variety of educational activities that promote a sense of ‘being, belonging and becoming’. The children enjoy going on fun outings, such as bowling, fruit picking and visits to various farms, which presents the children with the opportunity to try new and fun things. The children in the Rainbow room love getting out of the classroom and exploring outdoors; you will often find us building dens, finding rocks and going on nature hunts.
Staff have an important role to play helping your child become ready for school and we even encourage the wearing of uniforms as part of this process.
With still lots of time for fun, we ensure your child follows a carefully planned curriculum that will allow them to develop their skills in the key areas of learning and development.
Both of our nurseries offer a breakfast and after school club, as well as wraparound, drop off and pick up system which is designed around your needs, we pick and drop from all our local schools.
We can take children from 6:30am allowing parents that start work early that extra bit of time on a morning and we can close as late as 6:30pm.
We provide a nutritious breakfast, lunch, refreshments and a light tea for your child along with access to the usual facilities the nursery has to offer.
Please give the nursery manager a call today, or just pop in to discuss your requirements.
We have lots of fun trips planned for the holidays that enables children to work together to build their knowledge and understanding of the world around them whilst developing their personal, social and emotional skills. We aim to facilitate this process through the careful planning of different learning experiences designed to develop confidence, encourage independence and raise self-esteem.
